      Abstract
      How relevant are course management systems like Blackboard Vista to new institutional mission statements such as Webster University's aim "to transform students for global citizenship?" This presentation describes how instructors from various disciplines have integrated Bb Vista and various Web 2.0 tools (e.g. wikis, blogs, mashups, conferencing, social networking) to develop systems thinking, creativity and innovation, active crosscultural collaboration, and the building of learning communities. Examples from interdisciplinary online and hybrid courses are demonstrated.
