What are Effective Practices?

Similar to what is commonly called Best Practices, Effective Practices aren't necessarily the best.  Rather it is a collective term for good, standard or exemplary methods, activities, and processes.  Effective Practices are identified, documented and shared to help people save time, money, resources and energy. Effective practices take many forms - they are templates, case studies, checklists, standards documents to name a few.

Because there is no such thing as one-size-fits-all when it comes to complex situations that are commonplace within the Education and eLearning space, the term Best Practice can seem like a misnomer. Hence we've come up with the term Effective Practice. It may be more productive to think of good practices are those that help people in general save time, money and resources and it is up to you to decide which of these resources is best for you.

This area of the website is dedicated to helping the Blackboard community identify, document and share effective practices.
